Pair De Vases En Verre Enamelled , Decor De Violettes , Theodore Legras , Givré XIXe Art Nouveau
Antique pair of satin-finish frosted glass vases.
These vases feature an elegant, slender baluster form emphasized by a fine gilded border at the neck.
They are decorated in polychrome enamel with delicate violets in shades of mauve and lilac, accompanied by soft green foliage . The quality of the hand-painted decoration and the satin-finish treatment of the glass are characteristic of the Legras glassworks' output during the Art Nouveau period.
The combination of frosted glass and naturalistic floral decoration perfectly conveys the aesthetics of the Belle Époque.
