Victory
Very fine pair of gilt bronze and patinated winged Victory candlesticks, Empire period, Thomire model. The central shaft is supported by a winged figure in patinated bronze, resting on a gilded sphere itself set on a cylindrical pedestal with two patinas. The winged female figure, draped in antique style, her arms carry a basket from which the bouquet unfurls four finely chased arms of light.
The pedestal stands on a black marble base probably added at the end of the 19th century.
