"Tethys"
A very beautiful gilt bronze clock signed Picnot père, clockmaker established in Paris at 10 rue des Fossés in Montmartre from 1807 to 1824. Our clock represents Tethys, a central figure in Greek mythology, respected and venerated for her generosity, providing the waters necessary for the fertility of the earth. Our clock probably needs servicing; it has its pendulum.
