Pyxis Host Box Bronze Cloisonné Enamel Limoges Bible Figures 19th Century
Pyxide* or host box in bronze and Limoges cloisonné enamel, decorated with scenes, notably the flight into Egypt (the Virgin Mary on a donkeyMary on a donkey accompanied by Joseph fleeing persecution by KingHerod), 2 royal figures as caryatids, feet in the shape of faces,lid decorated with the initials IHS, 19th century.
This pyxis is in good overall condition. It is missing its interior and the bottom, as well as the lid grip.
