Pair Of Bronze And Brass Armorial Light Reflector Plates 19th Century
Artist: Anonyme
Pair of armorial light reflector plates, 19th century
Each plate has three electrified light arms.
The plates feature an amusingly asymmetrical design, suggesting that together they may be coats-of-arms: one features the quartered coat-of-arms of the ROUVROY family (allied to the JACOBS d'ASCQ family in 1731) and the other, the chevron coat-of-arms accompanied by three paired hands of the GOUDEMAN family (Nord).
Surrounding the central coat-of-arms section is a foliate garland motif, topped by a comptal crown.
Height: 40cm
