KABUTO composed of eighteen shiny black lacquered wrought iron plates.
THEHEN NO ANA (opening at the top) with five gilded copper steps, the first step engraved with foliate scrolls.
SHIKORO (neck cover) with five gloss black lacquered wrought iron steps and navy blue silk braid (slightly missing).
FUKIGAESHI (small wings) in high-gloss black-lacquered wrought iron decorated in hira-makie gold lacquer with the mon of the YUI clan.
MAETATE in gold-lacquered wood featuring a crescent moon, copper attachment.
MEMPO in shiny black-lacquered wrought iron, pronounced chin, mobile nose, pierced nostrils, wide crenellated yadome on the cheeks and fixing peg under the chin for the kabuto cord, hole for sweating under the chin, red-lacquered interior (the red color was to inspire courage and hide blood).
YODARE-KAKE (Gorgerin) with four degrees in shiny black-lacquered wrought iron and blue silk braid, black-lacquered reverse.
