Elegant blackened shelving rests on an octagonal base with a tapering central column. Above this rises a four-tiered structure composed of circular trays of varying sizes. The levels are connected by slender wooden struts, giving the whole a light, architectural appearance. The blackened finish has not been restored and shows some traces of discoloration and wear due to the passage of time, particularly on the base.
