About:
The Art Deco period from the 1920s to the 1930s saw the birth of many artists and glass workshops in France. Among the most famous was the Atelier Fanus, specializing in the creation of vases in enhanced glass or enamelled glass.
L'atelier Fanus
L'atelier Fanus was one of the most famous enamelled glass workshops of the Art Deco period in France. Founded by Jean-Louis Fanus, it produced enamelled glass vases with geometric motifs and bright colors.
Among the most famous pieces from the Fanus workshop were enamelled glass vases with leaf and fruit motifs, as well as polished glass vases. All pieces were signed with the "Fanus" trademark.
Glass vases signed Fanus. are often made in baluster or ball shapes, and are decorated with geometric, leaf and fruit motifs.
Most enamelled glass vases signed Fanus are dated from the 1920s to 1930s, and are therefore authentic pieces from the Art Deco period.
