1918 Art Nouveau Swedish Wooden Wall Telephone Ericsson Model 305 Crank Magneto
Artist: L.m. Ericsson
This authentic antique Ericsson No. 305 wall telephone was manufactured by AB L.M. Ericsson & Co. in Stockholm. Model No. 305 was produced from the late 19th through the early 20th century and exemplified the high engineering and design standards of early telephony. Also known as a "pulpit telephone", this model combines Art Nouveau elegance with practical function - the slanted shelf was designed for recording important information during conversations. Crafted from polished walnut, this Swedish crank magneto telephone generates its own electrical current for placing calls, allowing installation in remote locations without external power. Such telephones were installed in homes and offices throughout Europe, America, and beyond. This piece would make a wonderful acquisition for collectors or a striking element for vintage or loft interiors, showcasing period technological innovation.
