17th Century Italian Gilded Wood Mirror.
In a finely and vigorously carved décor of volutes,
gadrooned torsos and acanthus leaves, it is topped by an
eagle with outstretched wings and in its lower part by a Putto head.
The frame, adorned with foliage, encloses a beveled mirror.
Italian 17th-century work, circa 1680, attributable to the sculptor
Filippo Passanari, ( Rome: 1638-1698 ), in very good condition,
in its original gilding.
