The rectangular top, formed by two solid walnut planks set side by side, rests on two trestle supports with vertical uprights connected by a lower stretcher, following the refectory table tradition of Renaissance and Mannerist design. The feet terminate in shaped bracket supports with a curvilinear profile. The structure, entirely in solid walnut, bears a patina consistent with age and use.
