" Spring Is Returning " Ribera Pierre ( Perico Ou Pedro ) ( 1867 - 1949 )
Born in Madrid to a wealthy Francophile family, Pierre Ribera, an accomplished "dandy" and tireless traveler, studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he was a pupil of Léon Bonnat and Albert Maignan. His nickname "Périco" comes from the "chalet Périco" that his family had acquired on Quai Ravel, Ciboure, as early as 1862.
