Large painting attributed to Paul Bril representing the surroundings of Rome end of XVIéme beginning XVIIéme century , many characters and animals represented of which guard of sheep, cows, dogs, hens, a carriage as well as a stagecoach in a hilly landscape , one sees on the right of the painting Rome with the dome of the Basilica Saint Pierre . Very fresh colors, nice depth. Paul Bril, born in Antwerp (Flanders, today in Belgium) or Bréda (North Brabant, today in the Netherlands), in 1553 or 1554, in the Spanish Netherlands of which he was a subject, and died in Rome in 1626, was a Flemish painter, draughtsman and engraver of the Antwerp school. He was active in Rome from 1582 to his death as a vedute landscape painter.Dimensions with frame 118 X 94 cm
