Maillechort frame richly engraved with finely executed scrolls and floral motifs, the decorations retaining a beautiful sharpness and offering the whole a remarkable aesthetic quality. Octagonal barrel inscribed: "Année 1872". The frame features the signature."PIRLOT FRÈRES À LIÈGE", poinçon d'épreuve liégeoi and a punch "C & D" in an oval.
The cylinder also bears the "ELG" Liège regulation hallmark. A fine example of a quality Belgian civilian revolver, characteristic of Liège production in the early days of the metal cartridge.

Good condition. Functional mechanism. Barrel rebronzed. Front sight replaced. Barrel with scratches strongly mitigated by wear.
