The crowned C hallmark was applied to works from 1745 to 1749 .
This desk stamped by Bernard van Risenburgh bears many similarities to the desk executed for the Dauphine Marie-Thérèse of Spain in 1745.
It is a rare example of the extreme quality of design and execution that made the reputation of this master, the only one, along with André Charles Boulle, whose works were distinguished in the catalogs of the period .
