Press-moulded And Sequined Art-deco Boule Vase By Schneider, Daum Galle Era 1920
Artist: Charles Schneider
A handsome, large press-molded glass ball vase by Schneider.
Typical of the art-deco period, this pretty vase is in opaline glass with a parma shade at the base.
Note the pretty ball shape on a pedestal with high, straight neck. Schneider plays with light here, noting the frosted, shiny parts on the top, which reveal a slight glittering of the glass. This contrasts with the satin-finished parts. Numerous geometric shapes are present, scales, striations and ripples all over the vase.
Beautiful size: 26 cm high, 23 cm wide, sandblasted signature on foot, perfect condition, circa 1920.
Beautiful art-deco piece, lovely shapes and colors.
