Pretty pair of carved wooden barrels, decorated with a rooster and a bunch of grapes. Residual polychromy from the 19th century.

The rooster is reminiscent of the Napoleon III style, the bunch of grapes tonnelet appears slightly older.
Wrought metal head rings and handles, neck bung hole. A cork stopper remains.
Beautiful work of folk art. Wood carving marks help to appreciate this work of seamen.
Dimensions 10 to 12 cm in diameter,Length 14 cm approx.
Small defects from use: old worm holes. A metal head ring is missing on the grapes barrel.
Healthy wood, beautiful surface patina.
