Plaster model created by the French sculptor Jacques Eugène Caudron, notably precise in its depiction of musculature, often used in art academies to illustrate human anatomy.

These models constitute a fundamental resource for the anatomical studies of painters and sculptors and were often included in private collections or cabinets of curiosities (wunderkammer)


This specimen was discovered in the studio of the Brescia-based artist Eliodoro Coccoli
(along with other plaster sculptures from the artist’s collection)
and is on display in the exhibition “ELIODORO COCCOLI: Magnificent Draftsman” through December 31, 2026, at the gallery’s headquarters.

The work, like all our other items, will be sold accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
