Eleven Porcelain Plates After Meissen ,manufacture Samson XIX ème Siècle
A suite of eleven porcelain soup plates in the 18th-century taste, decorated with animated reserves of pastoral figures and pastoral landscapes inspired by Meissen models and Florentine creations from the Doccia manufactory.
The polychrome decoration is enhanced by rich ornamental work in gold and manganese purple, in a very elegant rocaille spirit. The wings feature an embossed relief imitating 18th-century porcelain.
This fine quality production can be attributed to the Samson manufacture in Paris, famous in the 19th century for its erudite reinterpretations of the great old European manufactures.
