A Catanese Cart Key From The Late 19th Century
Carved and painted wooden cart handle from Catania.
In the center is the eagle, the symbol of Sicily, flanked by two dragons. Two heads are carved at the ends. An old restoration is visible on the back. Original paint, missing in some places. Silver paint was added at a later date and has been almost entirely removed.
