A Pair Of Bronze Mice With Chestnuts Between Their Paws
A pair of dark-patinated bronze mice, depicted crouching while holding a chestnut between their front paws, with rounded bodies and long tails curling along their sides. The surface is finely engraved with a dense network of lines creating the effect of fur.
The chestnut is smooth and slightly polished, contrasting with the textured treatment of the bodies. The eyes, engraved and slightly protruding, are sharply defined, while the ears and paws are modelled with precision.
Signature engraved underneath the base.
