Silver-plated Ex Voto Face

Silver-Plated Ex Voto Face in embossed sheet metal (brass?) depicting the portrait of a boy with wavy hair, shown in a half-length portrait interrupted by a leafy branch. A love knot on the head allows it to be hung on the wall. Originally, this effigy was an offering made to the patron saint, invoking a grace for an illness affecting the depicted body part (in this case, the face) rather than as a token of thanks for a healing received (grace received).
