Antique 17th-century Italian carved and gilded frame with a faux tortoiseshell painting, rectangular in shape, featuring a carving with leafted motifs on the inner side and a frame with ovals on the outer side. The frame’s outline is decorated with a faux tortoiseshell pattern. As shown in the photo gallery, there are minor losses in the gilded areas, and signs of previous restoration are visible. Origin: Northern Italy, 1600. It comes from a private collection in Milan.
