Gavarni, known as Paul Gavarni, pseudonym of Sulpice-Guillaume Chevallier, born in Paris on January 13, 18041, and died in Paris (16e arrondissement) on November 23, 18662, was a French draughtsman, watercolorist and lithographer.
He was the father of painter Pierre Gavarni (1846-1932).
