Cartier Pasha C Chronograph, Ref. 2412, Unisex Watch

Artist: Cartier

Provenance
Unisex Pasha C de Cartier wristwatch, automatic chronograph in stainless steel, reference 2412. This model belongs to the Pasha de Cartier family, one of the Maison’s most distinctive watch lines. Cartier, founded in Paris in 1847, is internationally recognised for its role in luxury jewellery and watch design, with creations that combine technical refinement, architectural form and Parisian elegance. The modern Pasha de Cartier was introduced in 1985, while the Pasha C line, made in steel, appeared in the 1990s as a more contemporary and sport-oriented interpretation of the design. Reference 2412 corresponds to the automatic chronograph version of the Pasha C.

Description
The watch has a round stainless-steel case with polished and brushed surfaces, a smooth bezel and a compact yet assertive wrist presence. The white guilloché dial is arranged around a large Arabic numeral at 12 o’clock, applied circular hour markers and three subsidiary chronograph registers. The blued sword-shaped hands provide a refined contrast against the light dial. A date aperture is positioned between 4 and 5 o’clock. The rounded chronograph pushers, screw-down crown cap attached by a small chain, and stylised lugs are defining elements of the Pasha design. The Cartier stainless-steel bracelet, with articulated links and a double folding clasp, continues the architectural character of the case and gives the watch a refined sport-luxury appearance.

Technique and materials
Stainless-steel case and bracelet. Automatic mechanical Cartier calibre 047, with chronograph and date functions. Sapphire crystal. Stainless-steel screw back. Double folding clasp in steel. The watch combines a robust technical construction with the visual language of Cartier, balancing functionality, luxury and recognisable design.

Dating
Circa 2000. This dating corresponds to the indicated production year for the reference 2412 and to the broader production period of the Pasha C Chronograph in stainless steel. The technical and stylistic configuration — automatic chronograph movement, date display, steel case and steel bracelet — is consistent with Cartier production from the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Condition
The watch is mechanically functional. The visual condition is good to very good, with light signs of use visible on the case, bezel and bracelet, consistent with normal wear. The dial remains clean, legible and well preserved. Overall, the watch retains a coherent and elegant presentation and is suitable for immediate use.

Function and display
A luxury unisex wristwatch suitable for both collecting and regular wear. The compact case size, steel bracelet and chronograph complication make it a versatile piece, appropriate with formal, business or more casual attire. As a Pasha C Chronograph, it represents a particularly recognisable Cartier design from the early 2000s, combining sport functionality with the exclusivity of the Maison.
