Sculptural Brutalist Steel Mirror By Bianca Garinei 1970s, Signed
A handcrafted sculptural steel mirror done in the brutalist style by Italian artist, Bianca Garinei for Banci, Firenze.
Signed by hand.
The large round frame on stainless steel and aluminum is divided into segments. These segments and the inner frame edge are decorated with a handmade pattern that appears like links of a chain. These chain elements decorate the whole frame. Light-footed, they spread over the whole frame with plastic, smooth metal elements.
Typical 70's look with clear structure and distinct elements.
Due to its size, the object looks very imposing, but not heavy.
The color of the frame has lighter and darker parts - this also makes the object special and leaves a
depth effect on the viewer.
The frame has a diameter of 100cm - the mirror 47cm - frame thickness with applications 2.5cm.
