French Elegante Mid-century Faux Bambou Travertine Console Table 1970s
French Elegante Mid-Century Faux Bambou Travertine Console Table 1970s
An elegant and minimalist, natural piece that exudes a unique charm thanks to its powdery,
matte finish.
The console consists of two parts: the base, featuring three curved and fluted
half-columns, and the tabletop.
The tabletop (2.5 cm thick) does not simply rest loosely on top but must snap precisely into place within the cavity of the base, for this purpose, a raised ridge has been added to the tabletop.
All corners and sides of the piece are rounded, which gives the console a certain
softness.
We polished off the old, yellowed varnish, and now we have an open-pored, velvety-soft
surface.
Travertine is a light-colored freshwater limestone that forms from warm and cold springs.
Its grain is ivory-cream-white-beige with open pores and a very warm appearance.
