Very unusual and rare Portuguese Art Déco bench in wrought iron.
The object captivates with its dimensions and curved volute legs.
It is both graceful-swinging and stable, an absolute eye-catcher.
The iron was originally finished with a green, very damaged paint, which we had
removed by a locksmith in a laborious manual process using a small brush.
The iron has been protected and treated with a new layer of wax and now has
a modern character in black and white.
The bench has been re-upholstered and re-covered with fabric by Pierre Frey, Paris.
The dimensions of the seat cushion only are as follows: 203 x 39 x 7 cm.
