She is shown in bust form, wearing a precious gown with golden highlights, embellished with a delicate bodice of fine lace, and a draped coat in deep green-blue hues.
She is coiffed according to the codes of the time: her hair pulled back on her head and held in place by a red ribbon, a hairstyle known as "à la Fontanges", after the young marquise who introduced it to Versailles.
