In white Carrara marble, human size, height: 187 cm
It is presented on a marble column that adds height to it: 87 cm, for a total height of 274 cm. The column measures in width: 52 cm on each side.
The work is signed J.B Boudard and dated 1753 on the base of the sculpture.
Perfectly mastered sculpture, beautiful proportion and great quality of execution.

Jean Baptiste Boudard (born in Paris in 1710, died in Sala Baganza on October 23, 1768) was a French sculptor of the XVIIIe century, who produced much of his work in Italy, in the Duchy of Parma and in Rome.
Jean-Baptiste was born in Paris in 1710; his father was director of coin hallmarks at the court of Louis XIV. He quickly demonstrated his artistic talent, winning the Prix de Rome for sculpture in 1732. He attended the French Academy in Rome (Palazzo Mancini), and in 1736 obtained his sculptor's licence, remaining in Rome until 1740, studying ancient works in the Capitoline and Vatican museums.
