The markings on the selvedge indicate a French art print, attributable to textile publisher Laurent Ybert, for Romanex de Boussac. Laurent Ybert is known for his reinterpretations of historical designs for contemporary interior decor.
The Louis XVI-style pattern features knotted ribbons and floral bouquets printed in carmine red on a golden yellow background, in the spirit of the great 18th-century French decorative canvases.
