Blue Cristal Staircase Banister With Mirrors, Circa 1900, Complete, Good Condition
Beautiful handrail ball, from end of 19th century or 1900, complete with its lowerscrew.
It is in shape of a sphere, blown crystal, lined with a layer of blue ename, inside was silvered with mercury, like the mirrors of period, and cut of discs and one star on top, giving it a stunning visual effect, with its 36 little witch mirrors;
This ball was in use for around a hundred years and is still in fine condition.
A few scratches and wear, but no breaks, cracks or chips.
Ball: 11cm diameter, height with foot: 18cm. Weight: approx. 900gr.
