Large Cloisonné Dish With Floral And Bird Design - Japan, 20th Century
Superb circular decorative dish in cloisonné enamel on copper, featuring an elegant design inspired by nature. On a luminous turquoise background unfolds a refined composition of flowers in full bloom - peonies, chrysanthemums and prunus - accompanied by two birds in full flight, symbols of grace and renewal.
The cloisonné work is particularly fine, with delicately drawn contours and a rich palette of colors: white, pink, red, blue and deep green, offering a harmonious contrast with the background. The border is adorned with a stylized geometric frieze in brown, blue and red tones, framed by a metal hoop.
High-quality decorative piece, typical of 20th-century Japanese production, ideal as a wall ornament or presented on an easel.
