Burma, Konbaug dynasty (last Burmese monarchy), 19th century, important and superb bowl in solid silver, richly and very finely embossed, decorated with legendary and religious scenes in niches all around the body. They are surrounded and surmounted by foliage motifs, all resting on a stylized lotus decoration. Good condition. The quality of the work is remarkable both in the attention paid to the smallest details and in the fidelity of the iconographic representation. Museum piece. Provenance: acquired in 1974 from a renowned antique dealer in Bangkok. Dimensions: Height 10 x Diameter 10.5 (cm).
