Silver-plated metal handle with pommel representing the head of the traditional simha lion and guard quillons representing the heads of the mythical serapendiya bird.
The eyes of the lion's head are represented by two small red cut gemstones.
Beautifully crafted blade of unusual shape for a kastane. Single-edged blade flaring towards the tip.
The guard branch appears to have been cut in the past and reshaped so that it goes unnoticed.
Assembled in good, solid condition, no play.
