Composed of a clock on a portor marble base, in a glass and bronze case with mercury pendulum, on which is perched an eagle with outstretched wings.
On either side a man and a woman representing "study and philosophy".
The clock is accompanied by a pair of portor marble cassolettes with bronze decorations, lion heads and superimposed leaves.
