Late 17th-early 18th Century Louis XIV Walnut Sideboard With Four Doors
Refined sideboard in finely carved solid walnut,
embellished with fruitwood trim. The sideboard features a rounded structure,
featuring bracket feet and a square top. The cabinet features four doors, two
at the front and two at the sides, with lost-wax cast bronze keys. These doors
open onto two ergonomic shelves, ideal for storing various objects. Another
distinctive feature of this sideboard is the sliding undertop, with a pull rod,
which allows for increased storage space or to be used as a work surface. This
elegant and refined piece of furniture adds a touch of class and antique style
to any space. Made in Piedmont (northern Italy), from the Louis XIV period,
between the late 17th and early 18th centuries.
