Marmoratus With Green Ribbon, Mounted In Silver. Nepal?
Beautiful "Marmoratus" shell with green ribbon mounted in worked silver. Flower and foliage decoration around the rim, silver leaf forming a cup at the shell opening. A single silver plate is used for the most important decoration. Thick, repoussé silver leaf. The whole mounted on a tube of the same silver, which would have been attached to a stem. Religious or ceremonial use, or simple decoration? Probably from Nepal.
