Dobermann Inkwell - Black Forest, Late 19th Century
Charming zoomorphic inkwell in carved and stained wood. It features a finely crafted Dobermann-type dog head. The amber-toned glass eyes give it a lively, almost mischievous presence.
The head opens to reveal a complete brass interior, including a hinged lid and its glass cup for ink.
Black Forest work, late 19th century / circa 1900.
Overall good condition. Slight wear and rubbing from use, small traces of ink inside. Note: two hinge screws have been replaced.
