Early 19th Century. Watercolor Entrance To A Castle. Nice Frame
This charming little watercolor depicts the entrance to the grounds of a chateau, a young woman, perhaps the chatelaine, addressing a man resting seated on a pile of stones
Framed since the early 19th century in a pretty gold-leafed baguette in good condition and a nice patina and assembled with clavettes still as in the XVIIIE.
Watercolors are insolated, so it's best to use a glass rod for a more precious drawing.
You can also enjoy the set this way, as it has a certain charm.
Dimensions of the rabbet: 21.5 cm x 31 cm
