Small Confectionery Or Sugar Basket In Cloisonné Enamel On Bronze, Russian Silverware Late 19th Century
This beautiful little basket is in very good overall condition, with a few minor deformations and traces of age.
The work is typical of certain 19th-century Russian workshops such as Khlebnikov or Grachev. The technique consists in filling small partitions with colored enamel, using twisted metal wires previously soldered to the wall.
The decoration of flowering branches, bird and butterfly is very successful. The bottom of the bucket is made of brass.
