Beautiful, richly carved and gilded wood sconce console, French work of the 19th century, in the taste of the Louis XV style.
Thedecorated with an openwork design centered on a shell,framed by finely chased foliage and scrolls. The elegantlyelegantly curved, are joined by a scalloped spacer with openwork openwork decoration, conferring lightness and balance to the whole.
The top is made of veined red marble, molded in a corbin beak pattern, in perfect harmony with the richness of the gilding.
Verybeautiful quality of sculpture, with meticulous detailing and relief workdetails and reliefs, characteristic of nineteenth-century decorative productionsinspired by the eighteenth.
