Large Bronze Apothecary Mortar On Original Base, 1794
Large bronze apothecary mortar on its base , its lid and its original pestle .
XVIIIth century .
On one side it is dated 1794 and on the other side it is monogrammed MAJ or MAT
It is quite possible that the date on the mortar is engraved later , normally identical mortars date from the late 17th , early 18th century .

Pestle length: 28 cm
Height of wooden base: 72.5 cm
