Pair Of Wrought-iron Sellettes With Breche Marble Tops, Mid-20th Century Work.
Pair of wrought-iron sellettes with breccia marble tops, mid-20th century work.
Elegant pair of sellettes resting on a black-lacquered wrought-iron structure, decorated with soft, balanced scrolls. The light, airy lines are in keeping with a late Art Deco taste tinged with neo-classicism, typical of the decorative productions of the 1940s-1960s.
Each saddle is topped by a breccia marble top, also present on the lower section, offering a harmonious, refined ensemble. This warmly hued marble, blending browns, ochres and contrasting white veining, presents a highly decorative design unique to each tray.
The combination of wrought iron and marble gives this pair an elegant presence while remaining easy to integrate into a variety of interior styles, as sofa ends, side consoles or decorative elements framing a space.
Overall good condition, slight traces of use and a slightly damaged corner on the marble last photo.
Mid-twentieth-century work.
