Guðmundur Guðmundsson, known as Erró, is an Icelandic painter and printmaker, born on July 19, 1932, in Ólafsvík.
Gudmundur Erró is an Icelandic painter born in 1932.
He studied visual arts, primarily painting, at the Reykjavík and Oslo Schools of Fine Arts from 1949 to 1952, and then mosaic at the Florence School of Fine Arts in 1955. At these schools, he initially specialized in paper cutting before dedicating himself to mosaic. He settled in Paris in 1958 and met artists of the Surrealist movement. Erró is an Icelandic artist with international renown as a leading figure of narrative figuration.
