Damascus Steel And Silver Inlaid Indo-persian Dagger/knife - India - Early 20th Century
Elegant Indo-Persian knife characterized by a strongly curved blade in damascus steel (damascus steel), featuring superb wavy patterns typical of metalwork. The single-edged blade reveals "eau" or "mohammadi" decoration, accentuated by time and patina.
The handle, in the stylized form of an animal head, is richly adorned with finely engraved and silver-inlaid vegetal decoration (silver inlays), forming arabesques and floral motifs of great finesse. This decorative work continues harmoniously on the scabbard, also decorated in the same spirit.
The ensemble bears witness to the refined craftsmanship typical of Indo-Persian workshops, combining functionality and aesthetics. A piece of high decorative and historical value, representative of the prestigious arms of this region
