This white marble sculpture bears the signature "A.Gory" of the Florentine sculptor Affortunato Gori (active between 1895 and 1925), whose real name was Fortunato Gory.
After studying in Florence under Auguste Rivalta , our sculptor settled in Paris at the beginning of the 20th century and exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1902 to 1923.
