18th Century Longcase Clock
Artist: Arnold De Nève à Maastricht
A very beautiful and rare finely carved oak floor clock, the dial of the movement signed "Arnold de Nève à Mastricht".
On the door we find the amories of a noble family.
The base; in black marble from Theux (Liège region, Belgium).
Louis XV period, a Dutch work from the 18th century; city of Maastricht (located between Liège and Aix-en-Chappelle) and dated 1762 !
This longase clock needs to be restored, mainly the black marble base which needs to be glued back together and the mechanism which needs to be put back in order by a clockmaker.
The pendulum and weight are present.
