Central Table, Carved Oak, Fantastical Chimera Animals, Pedestal Table In 19th Century Renaissance Style
Very fine Renaissance-style solid oak pedestal table from the second half of the 19th century.
It rests on a baluster-shaped central shaft decorated with foliage and pearls, finished with four magnificent feet representing fantastic animals.
The top is very thick, richly scumptured all around.
We would like to point out a few cracks on the top that have been filled with hard wax ( see photo )
This piece of furniture is of high quality workmanship, is very stable and has a magnificent patina.
