Large bronze sculpture with excavated patina featuring Bacchus formerly named "Narcissus" nude after the antique original discovered in 1862 at Pompeii in the House of Narcissus and now preserved in Naples.
Bacchus is depicted standing, wearing spartan shoes with head bowed and hand raised. He wears a flowery crown over his curly hair and a skin over his shoulder. The ephebe rests on a round, stepped base adorned with water leaves
